Photos of Sammy’s Pups Changing Everyday

by Margaret on September 22, 2013

These photos were taken when the pups were four days old.

Their little pink faces and pink foot pads were already starting to turn black.

We could see them getting stronger every day.

We can see all of these colors in Sammy Sweetheart.

Their noses and all around their mouth went from pink to black quickly.

Sammy Sweetheart Is Loving Her Puppies

by Margaret on September 4, 2013

Sammy Sweetheart delivered her beautiful puppies last night.

Now the work begins. Sammy is busy cleaning and feeding eight hungry puppies.

There are at least one or two puppies being washed

while the others drink and move around.

We hear lots of squealing while they get closer to their mom.

Grandma Kayla Copacabana has to stay out of the bedroom

so Sammy can get to know her puppies. All of our other girls respect this.

This is Sally trying to be good. The pups are her cousins.

She was just inches away from the puppies while she snuggled on this pillow.

Sally was eventually banished from the bedroom last night.

She found a big stuffed animal to rest on while she watched from behind the gate.

Sally is five months old and just wanted to get close to the action.

She could smell and hear the puppies in the whelping box

with Sammy Sweetheart.

All of the girls were waiting on the other side of the gate last night.

Sammy will let them in after she feels she can trust them.

She totally trusts the humans.

Congratulations Sammy!

You made some beautiful babies!

Angie and Sally were in the mood for stuffed Nemo.

 Now we have something new.

Sammy takes BOTH toys!

Sammy is very careful in her work.

Jazz, Sally and Angie continued their work outside………..

After they cleaned up everyone got some sun on the back deck.

Angie and Sally Have Lots of Visitors

by Margaret on August 27, 2013

We’ve been very fortunate to be able to have so many visitors.

When you buy a puppy from us you are part of A Family Farm Labradors!

Angie and Nauset have their “flying ears” in full motion.

Sally is running to join them.

Gracie remembered Nauset and was showing him around.

She was one of his “babysitters” when he was small.

All of our puppies end up with all the other Labradors

caring for them and teaching them “dog stuff”.

Daisy met for a play date with Sally and Angie.

Daisy took a little break for a photo.

Sally, Daisy and Angie were exhausted at the end of their play date.

They cooled down on the wet ground, next to the water bowl.

Laila Clementine and Just Jack are both from Francie Pants.

They are 2 years apart.

Jack knows how to carry his own leash “just in case”.

His big sister, Laila Clementine taught him.

Belle greets Gracie Clementine and Angie.

Gracie and Belle’s mom is Francie Pants.

Belle is six years old and Gracie will be three years old in November.

Angie is their niece.

Happy First Birthday to Francie’s Pups!

by Margaret on August 21, 2013

Cupcakes all around!

Happy Birthday Mason, Jacoby, Sophie, Tallulah and Gypsy Jet.

We will be posting all your Birthday photos as they come in.

Mason is ready to hit the town! Where are the cupcakes????

His mom thought of everything!

He is one of Francie’s boys born last year on August 20, 2012.

Mason was a chunky little puppy a year ago.

Gypsy Jet of A Family Farm we can still see you!

Francie and Kayla’s pups were only one day apart,

so they were raised together.

This was one of their favorite places to play when they were outside.

Francie had five pups and Kayla had six pups.

Gypsy Jet was usually up front, waiting for us to take her out.

Tomorrow, August 21, we celebrate all of Kayla’s pups First Birthdays.

Please send party photos.

Angie and Sally Go Swimming!

by Margaret on July 21, 2013

We’ve been having a heat wave here in Connecticut.

Angie and Sally were able to get in the pool with us a few times

to swim and cool down. Being water dogs, they LOVED it!!!

We showed the puppies where the stairs were again and again.

We kept bringing them to the stairs so they would KNOW how to get out.

Mike and I stayed close to them while they were in the water.

It was just like taking a small child in the water.

Their safety comes first.

Angie shakes off the water as Sally comes up the ladder.

They kept practicing in and out just because they wanted to.

Looks like we have some future lifeguards!

They decided to bring the boogie board back to the stairs by pulling the strap.

Each one took a turn at being the leader. Angie is in charge.

Mike would hold Sally to give her a break. They have to learn to pace themselves.

Angie and Sally to the Vet

by Margaret on July 20, 2013

Angie and Sally went to get their last puppy shots on Monday.

Angie weighs 22.10 lbs. and Sally weighs 27.4o lbs.

They have different parents and it shows.

Grandma Kayla and Grandma Francie came with us for their own check ups

and also to cheer on Angie and Sally.

Sally leans on Angie while they wait with Grandma Kayla Copacabana.

Kayla and Francie Pants wait with Angie while Sally gets her check up.

Francie Pants stays still on the scale to be weighed.

Kayla has her check up. Her heart sounds healthy!

 Mike is ready to go.

Looks like he’s holding a couple of tired puppies and grandma’s…………….

Angela Mia and Sally Tickle Drawers

by Margaret on July 10, 2013

Angie and Sally are Always together.

Gracie Clementine sees the shoe Angie is offering.

Gracie says “Take it back where you found it.”

A good reason not to leave shoes out. Angie and Sally like this one!

Sally and Angie wrestle outside on the grass while Francie Pants watches.

Sally and Angie are enjoying themselves

while Francie Pants keeps an eye on them.

Francie Pants is Grandmother to Angie and Great Aunt to Sally.

Angie and Sally do a little “pre-washing”.

Angie and Sally are hoping for a morning treat.

We love to have our coffee outside while the girls run around.

Sally looks like she is cutting the line!

  Sally in the morning.

Sally can look out the windows now.

Angie mirrors Gracie Clementine while she is sleeping.

Sammy Sweetheart and Sally Tickle Drawers stay close while napping.

Let’s get one more swim in before our families come.

Ms. Purple wants to be smelling clean and pretty for her new family.

Puppy Pile Up at the Pool! Labradors love the water!

Ms. Pink is getting her bath before she goes home.

Mom and Dad are looking forward to training this beautiful new puppy.

The kids will be surprised when they see her! They have been counting the days!
