This doesn’t hurt. I think I might have some medicine on my face.

Ms. Yellow loves Dr. Rock Vali of Mt. Pleasant Hospital for Animals in Newtown, CT.
Ms. Orange likes being held.
Ms. Purple gets her vaccination.
Mr. Green stands very still while his brother, Mr. Black has his nails trimmed.

Yum! That tastes pretty good.

Mr. Blue stayed very still while Dr. Vali listened to his heart.

Mike plays with the puppies to keep them in one spot.
He was the Puppy Magnet.

We had two very nice vet techs who helped with medicine and nail trimming.

Mr. Red is ready for his exam.

Mr. Green has his heart checked.

It was hard to walk in between puppies!
Mr. Black and Ms. Purple together made us laugh.
Double trouble.

Mr. Green wants to go home.

Sally watching the road on the way to the Vet. She loves any excuse for a road trip.

Sally came with us and slept next to the puppies.

All nine of Ida Mae’s pups have their new collars on.
They are eating breakfast from two dishes now,
but prefer to start and finish the first dish
before going to the next one. Go figure…………

Two more weeks before they go to their new homes!
Tomorrow all the families will select their new puppy.

Ms. Purple and Ms. Pink are wrestling this morning.

Mr. Blue is napping after that big breakfast.
Mr. Green likes to be close to one of his littermates when he naps.

Mr. Green and Ms. Orange have figured out the stairs.
Mr. Black is ready for his turn.

Ms. Pink, Ms. Yellow and Ms. Purple are taking a break.
They run at full speed and then they nap. It’s that simple.

Ms. Orange might be pushing Mr. Green off.

Mr. Black, Ms. Purple and Ms. Yellow are out for the count with Ms. Pink.

Here they are again from a different view.
Mr. Green is hoping there is enough room for him in that puppy nap…….

Great Grandmother, Francie Pants likes to meet all
the new families for our puppies.

Three little girls of Ida Mae are getting most of the attention.
Brodie managed to get onto the couch and be a part of the experience.
We have four generations of Labradors.

Ms. Purple, you are the sweetest little puppy!

We gave the puppies a set of stairs to play on and learn new skills.
Mr. Green is going to the head of the class!

Mr. Green will be playing “King of the Mountain” soon.

Ms. Orange is thinking about joining the “club” that is forming
in the hollow part of the stairs.

Mr. Green wants to know what kind of activities
they have planned for this club…..

Lunch time!!! We are feeding the puppies Blue Buffalo puppy chow.
They love it!

Time for a nap after that big lunch.

Mr. Green is really “getting into his food”
while his brother, Mr. Black watches.

Mr. Black and Mr. Green are on the left.
Their brother, our other Mr. Green is next to them.
Ms. Purple is in the dish!! She is not shy about eating.

Mr. Green and Ms. Pink are napping.

The puppies like this corner
where they sleep on a soft dog bed and towels.

Ida Mae loves her babies.

The pups are now in our kitchen where they see all the big dogs.
They get used to hearing all the sounds of a household
like phone, vacuum, TV, etc.

Mr. Red is investigating the yogurt container next to Mr. Black.

Mr. Green found a different yogurt container to examine.

Auntie Tina is on the outside near the puppies.
She would really love to be on the inside!

Ms. Pink and Auntie Tina are nose to nose.
Tina is giving a few tips to her little niece.

Our Pug likes “talking” to the puppies.
Grandmother Gracie Clementine is looking up at the camera.

Mr. Green has a full tummy and is sleeping it off.

Sweet dreams Ms. Purple.

Mr. Green is diving down for a really good drink of milk
right next to Ms. Orange who has the same idea!!

Ms. Purple just discovered the bone Ida Mae brought in for everyone.
“It smells interesting…..”

It’s that time again!!! Ida Mae feels like it is always that time.
She is such a great mom!

Ida Mae has been bringing her pups things she knows they will like.
We have a baseball and a bone right now.

Our yellow girl is tipping the scales at 3.8 pounds.
She is the “Big Girl” of this litter.

She has almost outgrown the scale.

This is our largest black male. He wiggles a lot,
making it hard to read the digital scale.

We love watching the puppy faces change.
They are all starting to look like “Real Dogs” now.

By next week this face will have changed even more.

Our yellow boys, Mr. Green and Mr. Black.

Nap time……………..

The puppy pile is expanding and covers more space now.

It must be so cozy and warm in the middle of that pile.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww………………..

Mr. Green has had his eyes open a little longer than the rest of his litter.

Can you see the little shine in Ms. Orange’s eyes?

“Hello World”

This little pup stayed still just long enough for a photo.
Then he wanted back with his mom.

We love it when their eyes open!
They are changing every day.

Enough photos. This one wants a nap.

Ida Mae is the proud mom of nine beautiful Labrador puppies.
She kept us busy all of New Year’s Eve.
It was the BEST way to start the New Year!!
2 yellow boys, 1 yellow girl. 3 black boys and 3 black girls.
All are healthy and gaining weight like crazy!

Can you see this little one’s tongue hanging out while he sleeps?
His face and feet pads will turn black very quickly.

Ida Mae refuses to leave her puppies, so we bring her
“Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in Bed”.

This is Ida Mae while she was still delivering puppies.

Grandmother, Gracie Clementine came in to see her new Grandpuppies.
Ida Mae is her daughter.

Earlier in the morning Ida Mae was trying to get comfortable on the couch.
Tina is telling her “You can’t have your puppies here.”

After the couch, Ida Mae decided maybe the king size bed
would be “Just Right” for her.
We had to show her the whelping box that was waiting for her.

This whelping box has had many litters of puppies born inside it.
It gives the mom a secure feeling. We bring it into our bedroom
when we know puppies are coming.
The puppies will stay here for four weeks.

This is Ida Mae’s First Born! He is a little yucky looking
but Ida Mae cleaned him up gently.

We are at 3 pups at this point. 1 yellow boy, 1 yellow girl and 1 black girl.
All they want to do is eat!!!

Last night Sally and Sammy Sweetheart were allowed to come in
and meet the new pups. They like watching from the bed.

Everybody wants to see the babies!!!
They will all be involved eventually with Ida Mae’s pups.

Brodie Good Boy turned 1 year old on December 21.
His mom is Angie and his dad is Big Al.
Birthday Parties always include singing and cupcakes all around!

Brodie sits next to Cooper and waits for his cupcakes.
Sammy Sweetheart feels she is “above the crowd” and sits on the stone table.

Everybody knows they must wait their turn.
All eyes on those cupcakes.
We have our Christmas tree up on a table and “protected” by a small puppy fence.
Otherwise, those Labrador tails will knock it down.

Can you see our little Pug, Jazz?
She makes sure she gets her own cupcake.

Brodie is in the bright blue collar.
Cooper is in the more green collar. The boys stick together.

Mike has their undivided attention now.

Saturday was still sunny and dry,
so we had a lot of play time outside.

Two sisters have fun chasing leaves.

Time for a big drink of water.

What do you want to do next?

Lily had everyone’s attention.

Lily had to round up the last little straggler. Time to go inside.

“Flying Ears” are the BEST when they are running!!!

Come on puppies. Time for dinner.

This little beauty wants to keep exploring.

This is the “Line Up”

Mmmmmmm, your hand smells like food!
