Thursday, January 26, 2012
Two weeks old tonight! Mr. Green is sleepy. That pile of puppies is getting MUCH larger! Compare it to that first night.
He has been trying to crawl with his brothers and sisters. Pretty soon Jeannie will have to stand up to feed them. (1-26-12)
They all kind of wobble around and make funny growling noises. (1-26-12)

Jeannie will have her puppies this week.
This is the morning pep talk.
Actually, Mike was eating breakfast and Labradors are very optimistic.
They know there is a good chance they will get a taste!
We don't know why they group up yellows together and blacks together.
Back row l-r is Sammy, Kayla and Annie. Front row is Gracie, Francie and Jeannie.(1-8-12)

We like our dogs to be able to run around on our property without worry that they might go onto the neighbor's yard or out onto the street.
That is the reason we had a Pet Stop© Pet Containment system installed on our property.
Ridgefield Pet of Ridgefield, CT installed our system and provided us with collars and instructions for our dogs.
We highly recommend Ridgefield Pet!
Now the dogs can be outside with us any time and be relaxed.
We KNOW our dogs are safe.
Francie, Annie, Kayla and Jeannie are able to be outside
and bark at everything, but they will stay within the Pet Stop© Pet Containment system.

What I did on my Summer Vacation 2010
As told by "Bowdoin"
Bowdoin, formerly "Mr. Red", enjoyed his vacation in New Hampshire this summer.
Bowdoin is from Kayla's January 2009 litter.

My dad and I went swimming in the lake. I got to dive off the dock!!! (summer 2010)
Taking a break after all that swimming. (summer 2010)
Ahhhhh, just relaxing....... (summer 2010)
Maybe "Bowdoin" could be in the Dog Olympics!!!!!!!!!
Now THIS is what summer is all about!!! This Labrador is Loving and Living the Life!!!! (summer 2010)
Bowdoin is one of Annie's brothers, born January 15, 2009. Kayla Copacabana is his mother.

Laila Clementine, one of Francie's pups from May 17, 2009.
She is six months old to the left and below. She looks JUST like her mom!

Laila Clementine is just playing Dress Up in a new pink hat.
Ruby Lucy is another of Francie's pups, and sister to Laila Clementine. Posing like she wants to be in Dog Beautiful!

They love it! (6-25-09)
Francie and Annie supervise the pups on their first day outside!
The rain has kept them from being outside more.
They LOVE the feel of the grass and exploring their fenced in play area outside our front door.

Mr. Blue is posing with his new family.
They came by to see how much he has grown.
(6-20-09)
All of Francie's puppies have met their new families and we are very happy!
Go to our "Puppy News" page to see more photos.
Puppies will get to go to their new homes July 11.
They will have had their 6 week check up
and their first shot.
We will have them paper-trained,
crate-trained and whistle-trained.

Final count is Eight Pups-4 boys, 4 girls!
All are healthy and drinking from Francie.
She has finally relaxed enough to get a little sleep.
This has been a very long weekend.
Sunday, May 17, 2009 11:37am Newsflash
We have puppies!! Francie started at 10:24 am and is still going. Right now we have three. We will keep you informed.
6:00am Still Waiting....No sleep for the humans. Francie slept upstairs, but is now back downstairs.
We took her outside for a walk with the
rest of the dogs at 5:45am.
We just have to wait for the pups to
come out when they are ready.
Around 11pm last night, we found Francie
on our living room couch. Maybe she
thought it would be more comfortable
for her babies to be born there.
We had to gently, but firmly get her off
and take her upstairs with us.
Saturday, May 16, 2009
Francie is starting labor. She has been very restless since last night.
She had decided to stay in the bathroom where she could be cool and alone, yet close to everyone.
All of the other dogs seem to know "something" was happening today.
Thank you to all of you who have been writing. We love the anticipation and stories from our new families.
Monday, May 11, 2009--Everyone is waiting.
Francie Pants is taking it easy.
She knows the Real work starts as soon as her pups are born.
She has been walking outside with us.
Pups are due at the end of this week.
Kayla, Francie, Jeannie and Jack are looking out the kitchen window.
They can see a chicken out on the lawn and think they should go chase it back to the coop.

Annie is now 11 weeks old and weighs about 24 pounds. She just had her 2nd puppy shot and is enjoying "Life on the A Family Farm" with all of her family.
We still do "dress up" and she keeps everyone laughing with her antics.
She is house trained, crate trained, sits on command, gives her paw and is always available for the many hugs and kisses she gets all day long from her humans and her canine relatives.

To puppy-proof your house, just think of having a new two-year-old child.
Put away anything the puppy can get into.
Lock cabinets if necessary that contain cleaning fluids.
Keep poisonous plants, electric cords, etc. out of reach.
