Annie is just loving "being a dog". She is our silly girl, full of mischief.
We are constantly laughing at her antics.
This past weekend Annie was jumping in and out of the fenced in area
where we keep our sheep and goats and chasing the occasional chicken that did not get the "memo" about Annie.
She can run FAST!!!
She figured out how to get herself out of the fenced in area. Just jump out! No problem for this Labrador.
This morning we spotted Annie climbing into the tub of water that the goats and sheep drink out of.
Guess that will have to be emptied........

Annie is becoming the Teacher!
(July 24, 2010)Annie is teaching Mr. Red how to carefully pull apart a little stuffed toy we just gave him!
He thinks anything Annie does MUST be good! She is like a big sister and that is cool!
The stuffed toy is all over the floor and it was fun! Now Mr. Red gets comfortable on a towel in the kitchen.
He also knows that it is a good thing to stay near the place where the food gets prepared.
She is also playing with him outside a lot more.
He is learning how to wrestle. She lets him win. (July 24, 2010)

This stuffed dog was told to leave!!! Kayla, Annie, Francie and Jeannie did not like what it looked like.
Maybe it was those rocking feet..........
Here Annie is just keeping Mr. Yellow company. She is still young, so these puppies are great!
They all think SHE is Great!!! She plays and runs around with them when their mom gets tired.
When she is not playing, Annie keeps herself busy by tracking chipmunks
through the new wood pile.
She also thinks it is her job to chase the goats and chickens!!!

Annie helped us with the puppies going outside to their temporary playpen today.

Annie is already "Babysitting" her little cousins.
The puppies are getting their new collars and Annie is keeping the next one company.
Aunt Francie, Kayla and Annie are looking at Jeannie's new puppies from a distance.

Happy Birthday to Annie's brothers and sisters
Diesel, Stella Luna, Shadow, Jack, Bowdoin, Molly, Goose and Rosie!

Kayla, Annie, Francie and Jeannie will were celebrating,

Annie had her brother, Shadow, come over to celebrate their First Birthday together!

Annie was just a fuzzy little puppy who grew into a beautiful young lady. She is our comic relief. Kayla, her mom, has to keep her in line. Francie, her aunt, is her best playmate. They go digging outside in the snow. Jeannie, her cousin, who also used to be her babysitter, is always ready for a game of "Tug of War".

It's "Happy Birthday" time for Annie's mom,
Kayla and Aunt Francie.
Cupcakes are required.
This is hard! There are only 3 cupcakes left and there are four dogs.
Maybe I should just eat all of them and then we won't have to worry.
Now, there only two! 
Ooh! Those cupcakes papers smell good! I know they are not allowed, I will just sniff them again.

Annie's sister, "Stella Luna" came to visit!
Annie thought she was looking in the mirror and could not believe her eyes!
She said "Stella looks just like me!"

All of her cousins came to see us and Annie got to play!
Francie's pups and their families came to visit and some even went swimming. Kayla, Francie, Jeannie and Annie all were very happy to show them how much fun it is to get wet!

Before the puppies went to their new families in July, Annie was still enjoying their company.
Looks like she was trying to play with them through the enclosure.
Jeannie and Ms. Pink are getting a "sit" lesson from Jess.

Now that the pups are starting to eat out of their own separate dishes, Annie has offered to help "clean" their dishes. She is so efficient! (6-21-09)

She is having a blast with these puppies!
She knows when they eat, she gets to clean out the pot and she also gets to clean off the dish they eat out of. After that, she cleans off the puppies!!!
Mr. Blue was biting Annie by the tail this morning and she did not care.
Annie is the "babysitter". She plays gently with the puppies in our kitchen. They climb all over her. (6-16-09)
Annie had company!
Her big brother, "Goose", came to see her today!
He weighs 50 lbs. and she weighs 49 lbs.,
one pound more than she does.
They are five months old.
They were sooooo busy saying "Hello" to each other,
that they did not stay still! (6-14-09)
Ms. Pink gets together with Annie and Kayla.
Kayla treats these puppies like they were her own. (6-14-09)
We encourage our little puppies to be with our older females.
They learn more self confidence and social skills.
You never know who you will meet
on a walk around town.
Annie thinks she can sneak a nap on the couch while we are busy with other things.....
We all know she has Mike wrapped around her little paw!
Annie got inside the whelping box with Francie's Pups today. She remembered this box from when SHE was a little puppy! 6-4-09)
We find all of our female Labradors to be so loving and maternal!
Annie got right in the box and started gently cleaning the puppies that are only a few months younger than herself. (6-4-09)

The above photo is the day all the puppies were born. We had to keep the big dogs away from Francie, so there was lots of time to play outside! They like that!
May 3 we celebrated Beau's birthday. We always celebrate birthdays! Sometimes it gets a little crazy, because they all know that when those little cupcakes show up, "We're Having a Party!!"
Be careful about singing the birthday song in our house. You might start a Barkathon!
Vinnie, who was sitting next to Beau, was to be celebrating his birthday in August.
He said he wanted to have ice cream, but we'll have to "talk" about that.
His sisters, Clementine and Jeannie were planning something special.
